Best Super Short

Outside the Intelligentsia Roasting facility where the screening took place

This past weekend, we attended the Chicago Food Film Festival to see the short film about the Doughnut Vault made by the lovely people at Mode Project. The film goes behind the scenes, showing everything from working the dough, to the frying, glazing and, last but not least, drool worthy close-ups of the tantalizing finished doughnuts. But that’s not all… and we won’t give away the cool narration and other elements to the film here, you’ll have to watch and discover for yourselves. But, the clever creativity was a hit and the film won best “super - short.”

We were there on Saturday to watch the premier at Intelligentsia Roasting Works in West Town. The event drew a good crowd, great films, lots of fun food bites, and… doughnuts! Here’s a few pictures from the event. And again, congrats to Mode Project on their win! Well done!
